Vera Bradley – Search Update/Sprint

The objectives for this sprint were to update our existing quick-search UI experience on our brand site – creating a drop-down menu on desktop instead of sliding panel (more accessible to customers) and making a cleaner design.​

Mobile Description

  • Replace existing mobile search overlay with new layout

  • Add “Popular Categories” section with static category links

  • Add “Discover Bestsellers” product module

  • Ensure search bar is styled as shown (larger, centered placeholder, X icon to close)

  • Add product details: title, price, number of colors/patterns

  • Ensure responsive image scaling and tap targets for products/categories

  • Track clicks on products and categories (for analytics)

Desktop Description

  • Two-column layout: “Popular Categories” on left, “Discover Bestsellers” on right

  • Apply grid layout for product display (as shown)

  • Maintain consistent typography, spacing, and visual balance with header/footer

  • Add product info (title, price, color/pattern count)

  • Include responsive behavior for smaller desktop/laptop screens

  • Implement product and category click tracking
